5/18/22

drunk again at the exchange,

it’s been five months since

i’ve found myself here

i sift through internalized poems,

like swiping through fifteen

pounds of spiderwebs

sometimes there’s too much

to write about and not

enough time

outside the sun shines through

the darkness of the bar

poems swirl in my head

as i drown sorrows

in my heart

i think of your silly smile

and how i can’t

always fix

things

i pay my tab and exit into the sun

the sky is blue, so very blue.
